There are many reasons to follow social media accounts, from food videos to travel destinations and beauty tips.
Anna Phillips, a Russian-born photographer now living in Denver, has over 100,000 followers on her moose-dedicated Instagram page, reports Denver 7.
“I can’t speak for everybody, but when I see how graceful and peaceful they are, I just lose it…You just stare and stare… and admire them,” Phillips told Denver 7’s Danny New.
While her moose page has over 100,00 followers, it’s her other page that’s gathering traction, and it doesn’t involve cuddly puppies or kittens; instead, it’s about a stuffed moose named Muffin who was a gift from her “sister-in-law nine years ago.”
Phillips has a third Instagram account where she posts her business, showcasing beautifully posed people, coffee, and photography tips. According to her website, Phillips is a local image consultant and photographer who is in the business of “making people & coffee look like models.”
If you’re a fellow photographer and find Phillips’ work inspiring, there are plenty of photography clubs around the city to help hone your artistic eye. Whether you’re a newbie or a veteran—have the desire to shoot wildlife, nature, or people—there are plenty of groups around town to help you get started.
The Denver Photography Group has more information about meetup groups that typically cost anywhere from $36+ while places like MeetUp offer free photography groups.
