Remember that time you left a bad review online, only to have the owner unleash a fiery tirade in response? Yeah, us neither. But that’s exactly what happened at a Denver restaurant called Avelina, and let’s just say it went down like a soufflé gone bad.
It all started with a seemingly normal complaint. A customer, frustrated by a canceled reservation, vented on Yelp, but instead of the usual apology, owner Kevin Jennings went full volcano, spewing about empty offices, lost profits, and “idiots running the town.” Yikes!
This Yelp meltdown wasn’t just a one-off rant. Jennings doubled down in an interview, blaming “wealthy libs” for his restaurant’s demise.
In a recent Instagram post, the restaurant announced it’s officially closed for good.
