Spring Forward this Weekend: Daylight Saving Time Returns!
Don’t forget to adjust your clocks this weekend! Daylight Saving Time begins at 2:00 am on Sunday, March 10th. This means most of the country will “spring forward” by setting their clocks one hour ahead (except for Arizona and Hawaii).
Daylight Saving Time was originally implemented to conserve energy by shifting an hour of daylight from the morning to the evening. However, research suggests the energy savings are minimal.
There’s a movement to make Daylight Saving Time permanent, with nearly half of all states passing measures to ditch the time change. While a bill was introduced in the Senate in 2021 to make Daylight Saving Time the standard time nationwide, it hasn’t yet been passed. So for now, remember to set your clocks forward this weekend!
