Elitch Gardens Defends Protocols After 12-Year-Old Injured in Fight
A video has surfaced showing a violent fight at Elitch Gardens involving a 14-year-old and a 12-year-old. The footage shows two adults restraining and assaulting the boys.
The 12-year-old, Mack Thalley, described how the confrontation escalated after an earlier altercation. He suffered a concussion and fractured ribs. After the fight, park security escorted him and his cousin off the premises without contacting their parents or the police.
Mack’s mother, Brooklynn Green, expressed frustration with the park’s handling of the incident, stating that she should have been informed, and the assailants should have been detained.
Elitch Gardens emphasized their commitment to safety and stated that their security team, along with on-site Denver Police, responded appropriately. The Denver Police Department has documented the incident, and further inquiries are directed to them.
If anyone has information regarding the altercation, they are encouraged to contact Denver Police.
