Quarry Fire in Jefferson County Expands to Over 300 Acres
The Quarry Fire continues to burn in Jefferson County, west of Ken Caryl, as of Thursday morning. The fire, which was discovered by a deputy around 9 p.m. on Tuesday along Deer Creek Canyon Road near Grizzly Drive, has now grown to 341 acres with 0% containment. More than a dozen agencies have responded to assist the Inter-Canyon Fire Protection District in battling the blaze.
