Two men, Burr Charlesworth, 42, and Luis Mendoza, 35, face multiple felony charges, including first-degree attempted murder and assault, in connection with the Oct. 18 shooting of Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds outside a Denver strip club. Both men are charged with six counts of attempted murder and six counts of first-degree assault.
Additionally, Charlesworth faces three charges for illegal firearm use, while Mendoza has 16 more felony charges, including illegal firearm possession as a previous offender, possessing a large-capacity magazine, and drug-related offenses.
According to an affidavit, the shooting occurred around 3 a.m. after Reynolds and two others left Shotgun Willies in Glendale. Mendoza allegedly entered the club around 1 a.m., scanned his driver’s license, and observed Reynolds and his group until they left the club at approximately 2:45 a.m.
