For roughly 25 years, Banksy has been crossing the lines of Art, Anarchy, and Vandalism. Now, over $35 Million Dollars of his work is coming to Denver with The Art of Banksy.
Investors have collected over 100 pieces of Banksy art to put on display at the former Sports Castle at 1000 Broadway. The exhibit features well known works such as ‘Girl and Balloon’, which one copy was destroyed publicly after an auction in 2018. ‘Flower Thrower’ and ‘Rude Copper’ will be there as well as some of Banksy’s lesser known works. Banksy is most infamous for his outdoor art which can be found in streets all around the world. Banksy’s indoor pieces have been less exposed and are also on display at this exhibition. This is the largest private collection of Banksys in the world. All works have been verified by Banksy’s Verification Team, Pest Patrol, but Pest Control would like you to know that “Banksy has NOTHING to do with any of the current or recent exhibitions and they are nothing like a genuine Banksy show. They might be crap so please don’t come to us for a refund.”
The show opens on Thursday, and currently is scheduled to end on June 12th. As of this writing, there were still some tickets available for Thursday’s sessions. They do allow both Pictures and Videos, but no flashes, and keep the videos short. 2 Minutes or Less. If you go during off peak hours, you can get a basic ticket for $39.99. If you go during popular times, and want to go VIP, you can spend up to $110 a ticket, plus you know there’s going to be a Gift Shop.
