Pepsi is increasing their presence in the Mile High City with a 1.2 Million Square Foot Manufacturing Plant. It’s “out by the airport” off of I-70 where Pena Branches off to DIA. Pepsi has 152 Acres to play with, making this the largest Bottling facility in the United States. For a little perspective, 1.2 Million Square feet leaves a foot print that’s just under 21 football fields large. Currently, Pepsi has a plant in Brighton employing about 250 people, and this plant will bring on another 250.
This plant will be state of the art, and should be very efficient. Pepsi says that it will eventually run on 100% renewable energy, have the best in class water efficiency, and will try to limit the amount of first time plastic use.
Pepsi also has a building in RiNo, but they sold it recently. They will move out in 2023 after the new plant opens. No word on what will come to that building.
