A social post from Glacier Beach Colorado teases the coming of a new Water Thrill Park to the Denver Metro Area. The post teases 9 Innovative and Thrilling Attractions, each seating at least 2-4 guests. There will be an innovative Tube Conveyor, so you won’t need to carry a tube to the top. They are also advertising the “Guinness World Record Breaking Longest & Darkest Water Slide in the World (pending approval)” and a circular 360 wave pool.
Social media also says they have water and theme park engineers from around the world working on this project, including Disney Imagineers.
A deep dive into their website, GlacierBeachColorado.com, reveals some of their attractions, like the Ice Breaker, a water coaster with twists and turns. Raving Racers appears to be some slides that people can race to the bottom of, and Terrors of the Deep will likely be the Record Breaking Long and Dark Slide. There is also a Kids area, and a Lazy River, which may not be so lazy; they say there’s a bit of a drop in it.
Glacier Beach is also advertising great food options, but no word if they’ll have Funnel Cakes. It’s going to cost at least $42 a day to hang out, and season passes are available for $150 to $250 a Year. In comparison, Water World’s adult tickets are $27 to $50 per day depending on when you go, and if you buy tickets in advance.
The Grand opening of Glacier Beach is scheduled for the Summer of 2024. The Big Question is “Where is Glacier Beach”. The website has a contact PO Box in Golden, so perhaps this will be at the Old Heritage Square location. Or maybe it’s at a new location all together. Once we find out the official location, we’ll let you know. Get more info here.
