Broncos’ ‘Orange Crush’ 70s Uniforms to Go on Sale Soon
Earlier this year, the Denver Broncos unveiled new primary uniforms and a special throwback “Orange Crush” design that fans will see in select games. In less than a week, enthusiasts will be able to purchase these iconic 1970s uniforms.
New Uniforms and the Throwback Release
The Broncos introduced their new uniforms in April, marking the first significant design update in over 20 years. Dubbed “The Mile High Collection,” the new uniforms feature three color schemes: Sunset Orange, Summit White, and Midnight Navy. While players expressed their admiration for the fresh look in a promotional video, many Broncos fans were initially disappointed, yearning for the nostalgic “Orange Crush” uniforms from the 1970s and 80s.
However, the disappointment was short-lived. Just 30 minutes after unveiling the primary uniforms, the team revealed the “throwback closet.” Now, nearly four months later, these beloved throwback jerseys will be available for fans to purchase.
When and Where to Buy
The Broncos have announced that in celebration of “Throwback Day” at training camp, the throwback jerseys will be available for purchase starting Saturday, August 3. Fans can buy the jerseys and other merchandise at the training camp, at the team’s store in Empower Field from 10 a.m. on Saturday, and online.
Special Game Appearances
The Broncos will debut the throwback jerseys against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5. This game will be special as Denver will welcome back members of the 1977 Super Bowl team. Additionally, the team will honor Randy Gradishar’s Hall of Fame induction and officially induct Steve Foley and Riley Odoms into the Ring of Fame during the alumni weekend festivities.
A Nostalgic Tribute
The release of the “Orange Crush” jerseys is more than just a fashion statement; it’s a tribute to a golden era in Broncos history. These uniforms not only rekindle fond memories for longtime fans but also introduce a new generation to the storied past of Denver’s beloved team. Don’t miss your chance to own a piece of Broncos history!
