Yesterday we received an angry message from a pissed of reader on Reddit that has a serious issue with the way you buy tickets through Red Rocks website. Read the full message below.
Tickets for the Wu-Tang Clan/Colorado Symphony/Big Boi concert at Red Rocks went on sale this morning at 10:00 am. Prices started at $69.95 and I was thinking $70 to see Big Boi and Wu-Tang with the CSO was a good deal! I wouldn’t mind general admission seats for $70.
I was in the online queue starting at 9:45. At 10:03 (when I could finally access AXS) it said no tickets were available. Starting at 10:15, the only tickets available were resale tickets starting at $190. As of 11:00, the only tickets available are resale tickets starting at $275! What the hell Red Rocks. How are you going to sell out a full capacity show in three minutes but then all of a sudden there’s tickets available, but at double or triple the original price advertised?! Someone is making a shit ton of money off of buying and reselling tickets, and I want to know who’s pocketing it. And why doesn’t Red Rocks have better policies in place to prevent scalping/reselling tickets?
People who buy $70 tickets and resell them for $275 can go **** a ****.
