Calling all donkey fans! The beloved Donkey Derby Days festival returns to Cripple Creek, Colorado this summer, from June 28th to 30th, 2024. This free, three-day event promises fun for the whole family, celebrating the town’s rich history and its famous resident donkey herd.
A Race Through Time
Donkey Derby Days has been a Cripple Creek tradition for over 80 years. Inspired by the town’s donkeys, believed to be descendants of those used during the Gold Rush, the festival features exciting donkey races. Watch these furry athletes compete and cheer them on to victory!
More Than Just Races
There’s more to Donkey Derby Days than just racing. The festival offers a variety of activities, including:
- Live Music: Enjoy toe-tapping tunes throughout the weekend.
