Aurora Police Seek Suspect in Serial Gas Station Robberies
Aurora police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect linked to multiple armed robberies, including four at the same gas station on Tower Road since last summer.
Authorities say it’s highly unusual for a suspect to repeatedly target the same location. Despite releasing images and requesting tips eight months ago, the suspect remains unidentified. Recently, he robbed another gas station, prompting police to renew their appeal for assistance.
Suspect Description
The suspect is described as:
- In his late teens or early 20s
- 6’0” to 6’2” tall
- Slim build with a light mustache
- Occasionally wears glasses
Surveillance footage shows him carrying a black or gray duffel bag, a black drawstring bag with a white logo, and a black crossbody bag.
Robbery Pattern
In most cases, the suspect flashes a weapon—either a handgun or a knife—to intimidate store clerks. However, rather than demanding cash, he steals vapes, cigarettes, and beer before fleeing. Witnesses have seen him leaving in an older sedan with yellow-tinted headlights.
Police believe the same man may have robbed another store on February 8, near Girard Street and Hampden Avenue, despite increased patrols.
Call for Tips
Aurora police are hoping someone will recognize the suspect from the newly released images and video. Anyone with information is urged to contact authorities.
