Wildlife officials say a grizzly bear killed a woman in Montana after pulling her from her tent in the middle of the night. When she was attacked, Leah Davis Lokan, 65, of Chico, California, was on a long-distance biking trip in Ovando, a community in western Montana, about 60 miles northwest of Helena. Her body was found around 3:30 am after fellow campers in an adjacent tent used bear spray to ward off the 400-pound animal. Wildlife officials from Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks (FWP) report the bear had previously stumbled upon the location early in the morning, where Lokan and a couple were camped near a post office.
