Fans Camp Out for Denver’s Exclusive ‘Snowflake Whiskey’ Release
Whiskey lovers are braving the elements and setting up camp outside Stranahan’s Distillery in Denver’s Baker neighborhood, prepared to wait 24 hours for the release of its highly coveted “Snowflake Whiskey.” Known for its rarity and unique flavor profiles, this American single-malt tradition has fans lining up every year.
The “Snowflake Whiskey” story began in 2011 when Stranahan’s launched its first limited batch, crafted from a small number of barrels. Like a snowflake, the distillery says, no two bottles are alike. Over the years, the whiskey has gained global recognition for its complexity and scarcity, drawing enthusiasts from near and far to secure a bottle.
This year, fans are already setting up tents and campers for “Snowflake Batch #27,” set to release on Saturday. To accommodate the crowd, Stranahan’s has created a festive “Snowflake Village” outside the distillery, featuring live music, yard games, food trucks, and more. Limited camping spots opened Thursday, while preregistered cars and RVs are also joining the queue.
On release day, fans will receive wristbands to secure their place in line. Each 750ml bottle of “Snowflake Whiskey” is priced at $119.99 before taxes, with a limit of three bottles per person. While the exact release time is kept under wraps, Stranahan’s promises to provide real-time updates on their Instagram and Facebook pages.
For fans of rare and exceptional spirits, “Snowflake Whiskey” remains one of the most anticipated releases of the year, a testament to the enduring appeal of small-batch craftsmanship.
