Beginning Monday, Colorado’s DMV will offer an online check-in feature for appointments. By using this feature, you can check-in for your appointment and wait for it anywhere you choose–in the car, at a coffee shop, wherever is most comfortable or convenient.
In an effort to upgrade the system, appointment scheduling is expected to be unavailable from August 6 to 9. You will be required to provide an email address and/or a cell phone number when setting up an appointment so that you can receive appointment-related messages. The lobby can be checked in and appointments can be rescheduled or cancelled by using these forms.
According to a press release from the DMV, “Coloradoans can now check-in to their appointment remotely via text message, or a QR code – and receive a text message notifying them when to show up for their appointment.”. The company’s automated email is also acceptable and a technician will scan the barcode to take us to the appointment.”
