Aurora police are investigating a deadly crash that occurred on Sunday night.
The first crash occurred at 10:36 p.m. at South Havana and East Iliff in west Aurora. A motorcycle collided with a car, and the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured.
APD released the following statement:
“A young man passed away Sunday night after a single-vehicle car crash that sent two other passengers to the hospital.
Approximately 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023, officers responded to a crash at the intersection of East Pinewood Drive and South Wheatlands Parkway in southeast Aurora. Investigations showed that a Mazda SUV was traveling northbound on S. Wheatlands Parkway at a high rate of speed. The vehicle struck the median and rolled several times before coming to rest on the sidewalk. Inside the vehicle were two adult male passengers and one adult male driver. An 18-year-old passenger was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and passed away on scene. The other two occupants were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.”
Aurora police are urging drivers to use caution and obey the rules of the road.
