Denver is set to host the Minnesota Timberwolves for the last time in the regular season. A late-night game kicking off at 8 pm MST at Ball Arena, where the Nuggets have been resting for three days following a dominating (129-93) win over the troubled Utah Jazz. Late game injury announcements will sway betting on the Nuggets’ end, and several suspensions on Minnesota’s end will change who you place money on in this game. Denver has sidelined Jamal Murray (hamstring) and Michael Porter Jr. (Personal) in a game where an entire starting lineup would be crucial. The Timberwolves have been the Nuggets’ kryptonite all season, with five straight losses since May 16, 2024. Minnesota has two players suspended for this match-up after a second-quarter fight broke out against the Detroit Pistons. Expect to see other Wolves in rotation for Naz Reid and Donte DiVincenzo, who were involved in the altercation. I see a couple of players stepping up and cashing in on the prop market due to these circumstances, check it out below-
Denver
Nikola Jokic over 9.5 Assists (+105 on Bet365)
Gobert is no match for Jokic and he is still posting aggressive stat lines against a team the Nuggets still can’t fully figure out lately. I see Jokic being available to shell out more insane passes, he does oh so naturally. A great way to double your money this will cash.
Minnesota
Nickeli Alexander-Walker over 9.5 points (-120 on Bet365)
He is filling the offensive void without DiVincenzo and Reid during this suspension. He needs to stay up with his sharpshooter teammate, Anthony Edwards, and be explosive on the perimeter. He is always around to knock down some threes and be aggressive in the paint against this Denver defense.
