The Hard Rock Cafe on the 16th Street Mall has been in Downtown Denver since November of 1998, but the music is ending abruptly on July 29th. The Hard Rock has been an anchor of the Pavilions, with its oversized Neon guitar marking the Corner of 16th and Glenarm.
In a letter to their employees, the parent company, Hard Rock International said “We are writing to you to give you advanced written notice of a planned closure of our Denver facility on July 29, 2023, and as such are providing the required legal notices pursuant to the Federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act. The permanent closure of the entire facility will occur at the close of business on July 29, 2023, and you will be separated from employment on that date”.
The Gift Shop will be open from 10 until 10 for the next few months, so you can collect what will possibly be limited edition Hard Rock Merchandise. The Memorabilia on the walls will end up going to the Hard Rock Vault in London, where it will either be stored, or sent out to other Hard Rock Cafes and Hotels in the World.
