Denver’s Skyline to Dazzle with 40 Nights of Free Holiday Drone Shows
Starting November 22, Denver’s skyline will light up with a dazzling new attraction: the Mile High Drone Show. This nightly spectacle, running through December 31, features a 15-minute display of animated scenes created by 400 drones, lighting up the city with holiday cheer.
Unlike traditional holiday events like Zoo Lights, Blossoms of Light at the Denver Botanic Gardens, or Cherry Creek North’s Winter Wanderland, this drone show promises a futuristic twist. Expect classic holiday visuals like Santa Claus, reindeer, and twinkling trees, alongside uniquely Denver icons, including Union Station, Blucifer, and the Big Blue Bear. The animations will reach heights of 400 feet and stretch 500 feet wide, offering a stunning view from parks, rooftops, and high-rise windows throughout downtown.
This first-ever Mile High Drone Show, a collaboration between Visit Denver and Brightflights Drone Shows, is completely free—visible to anyone with a view of the city skyline. The drones will take off nightly at 7 p.m., ensuring that the colorful display is impossible to miss.
In addition to the regular shows, there will be special sports-themed displays to celebrate Denver’s teams. Look out for a Broncos-themed show at 5:20 p.m. on December 2, a Denver Nuggets Christmas animation at 7 p.m. on December 25, and a tribute to the Colorado Avalanche ahead of their New Year’s Eve game at 5:30 p.m. on December 31.
Denver’s newest holiday tradition promises to be a breathtaking addition to the season’s festivities, offering an unforgettable display of lights and animation across the Mile High City.
