Smoothie King, a popular smoothie chain, is opening its latest franchise in Colorado, all thanks to Josh Martin.
The former Cherokee Trail High School student partnered with his sister to start the business, which just so happens to be one of many Smoothie King additions.
“It was a great fit, being a health and wellness smoothie brand, with my health and wellness background, and it’s a tremendous opportunity to build in Colorado, which has a very active, healthy, outdoorsy culture,” Martin said in an interview with Cherry Creek School.
Martin serves on the Board of Directors of the Harlem School of Arts; according to Cherry Creek Schools, he’s “excited” to bring his philanthropic organizational skills to the community in the Denver area.
“I’m excited to be back, to be a part of this community again, and have the chance to make a positive impact,” he said.
Before returning to Denver, Martin played several years in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Kansas City Chiefs, Indianapolis Colts, New York Just, and the New Orleans Saints.
