Ring in 2025 at These New Year’s Eve Events in Denver
As 2024 draws to a close, now is the perfect time for Denverites to finalize their plans for ringing in the new year. From fireworks and drone shows to bar crawls and family-friendly activities, Denver offers a variety of events to help everyone celebrate the arrival of 2025.
Fireworks, Light Shows, and Drone Displays
For a sparkling start to the new year, Denver will host a series of stunning fireworks and light shows. The Downtown Denver Fireworks display will take place at 9 p.m. and midnight, with the best views from the 16th Street Mall, the Sheraton Hotel, and near Curtis Street. For an even more magical experience, don’t miss the Mile High Tree Ball Drop and Countdown at Civic Center Park, happening at both 9 p.m. and midnight.
Additionally, the Mile High Drone Show will light up the sky at 5:30 p.m., with prime viewing spots at the Sculpture Park at the Denver Performing Arts Complex, 54thirty Rooftop, Peaks Lounge, and Tivoli Quad on the Auraria Campus.
Decadence – The Digital City
Electronic dance music fans can experience the ultimate party at Decadence Colorado, held on December 30 and 31 at the Colorado Convention Center. Known as “America’s biggest electronic New Year’s celebration,” this event features top EDM artists such as Rezz, Tiësto, Illenium, and Zeds Dead. The event will ring in the new year with a ball drop and thousands of falling balloons at midnight. Tickets are still available on AXS, with prices starting at $223.84 for single-day passes and $362.08 for VIP two-day passes.
2025 Denver New Year’s Eve Bar Crawl
For those who enjoy a lively atmosphere, the 2025 Denver New Year’s Eve Bar Crawl is the perfect way to kick off the new year. Hosted by Social Scene, this event will take participants to several bars in the lower downtown area and near Larimer Square. Clocktower Cabaret New Year’s Eve Burlesque Bash
Celebrate in style with the Clocktower Cabaret New Year’s Eve Burlesque Bash, featuring classic and modern burlesque performances. Enjoy a toast to the new year at 9 p.m. and midnight, along with a view of Denver’s fireworks. While tickets for both shows are sold out, you can join the waitlist for a chance to attend.
White Rose Gala Gatsby – Roaring 20’s NYE
The White Rose Gala returns to The Ritz-Carlton on December 31, with a roaring 20s theme. The event will feature art deco decor, a casino, speakeasy, live music, and a countdown to 2025. This glamorous event has sold out for the past 21 years, but a few VIP tickets are still available starting at $162.33. Guests are encouraged to dress in elegant 1920s-inspired attire.
New Year’s Eve Black Tie Party
The New Year’s Eve Black Tie Party at Asterisk Event Center offers an elegant celebration with party favors, an open bar, food trucks, live music, and a midnight balloon drop. Enjoy free casino games like blackjack, roulette, and craps, with chances to win prizes. Tickets start at $135.24, with discounts for groups of eight or more. This event is for guests 21 and older.
Family-Friendly New Year’s Eve Events
Denver also offers a variety of family-friendly New Year’s Eve activities. Sharkey’s New Year’s Eve Bash at the Downtown Aquarium will be held at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on December 31, with tickets starting at $55.45 for adults and $42.47 for children. Noon Year’s Eve at the Children’s Museum will feature ball drops every hour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets are $19.75 for kids and adults. For families with sensory needs, the Zoo Lights Sensory-Friendly Night at the Denver Zoo will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on December 31. Tickets are $20 for adults and seniors and $10 for youth.
Additionally, Denver will have a fireworks show at 9 p.m. and a drone show at 5:30 p.m., giving families a chance to celebrate without staying up too late.
Free Transportation for Safe Rides
To make sure everyone gets home safely, the Regional Transportation District will offer zero-fare rides from 7 p.m. on New Year’s Eve to 7 a.m. on January 1.
