This evening, the annual Perseids meteor shower of 2021 will reach its peak and send hundreds of fireballs bursting across the Colorado skies.
There will be up to 100 shooting stars per hour visible across the night sky each night during the annual Perseid meteor shower from Wednesday, August 11 through Friday, August 13.
NASA reports the Perseid meteor shower occurs in the summer between July 14 and August 24. Known for its fireball activity, this annual event is one of the most spectacular events of the calendar year.
