Edgewater police are seeking assistance from the public after two homes were struck by gunfire overnight. The incident occurred around 2:15 a.m. on Ames St., near W. 22nd Ave., just east of Edgewater Elementary School.
Upon arriving at the scene, police found that both homes had been hit by gunfire, with bullets piercing the front windows and doors. Investigators confirmed that a rifle was used in the attack. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Surveillance footage from a nearby home captured individuals fleeing the scene, but no additional information is currently available.
