As gas prices continue to soar across the US this particular town in Colorado is right up there with some of the highest prices in the country. Copper Mountain, Colorado is a ski town about 75 mile west of Denver. The Conoco here has it’s prices set to $5.07 a gallon for premium fuel. California had the highest national average at $4.27 per gallon with Hawaii coming in right behind them at $3.96 per gallon. This week, the national average price for regular gasoline was $3.16, up two cents from last week. The average price of gasoline was $2.20 a gallon a year ago. In the rest of the summer driving season, analysts predict high crude oil prices will keep gas prices at the pump above $3 per gallon.
